CHRISTMAS CHEER AS JOBS SAVED AT WELL-KNOWN DONEGAL COMPANY

first_imgThere was plenty of Christmas cheer in the air after a battling Donegal company announced it has managed to save 13 jobs.The company, Milford-bsed Henry McGinley & Sons, revealed it has now successfully exited Examinership.The announcement was made yesterday at Letterkenny Circuit Court and secures the future of the business and its 13 employees. Established in 1993 by Henry and Elizabeth McGinley, the family-owned company is one of the leading suppliers of structural steel and roofing systems in the northwest of Ireland.Henry McGinley & Sons was among the first businesses in Ireland to avail of the examinership process through the Circuit Court, and it is the first company in Donegal to exit the process successfully.The announcement was welcomed throughout the local community and across Donegal.After an emotionally charged day for the McGinley family and company employees, Mrs Elizabeth McGinley, Director of the Company, spoke of her relief at the announcement. Mrs McGinley said: “We are delighted with this outcome and would like to extend our sincere thanks to our suppliers, the court service, judges and the local community, both far and wide, for their messages of support since the examinership commenced.“It’s been a very tough few months, but the support we received has been overwhelming and very much appreciated. I also want to acknowledge the continuing support and loyalty of our customers and staff over the last number of years, without whom we would never have come through this’.Mrs McGinley paid special tribute to the Examiner, Mr Sean Carr of Vision Accountancy for all his hard work throughout the examinership process. She also thanked local County Councillor Ian Mc Garvey for his help, as well as her legal team and the Examiner’s legal team for their efforts.With over forty years’ experience in the fabrication, supply and erection of structural steel, Henry McGinley & Sons has built a strong reputation for delivering quality solutions to clients across the construction sector.The business traded as normal throughout the examinership process, and even secured new contracts and employed new staff during the period.
