Track and Field Wraps Up The Drake Relays Presented by Hy-Vee

first_img Saturday Results (PDF) Story Links The Drake University track and field teams closed out the 2019 Drake Relays presented by Hy-Vee with three top-10 performances Saturday at Drake Stadium.Drake’s men’s 4×100-meter relay and women’s sprint medley relay both finished in the top 10 with the 4×100-meter relay earning points in the Hy-Vee Cup standings. The 4×100-meter relay team of Aaron Chier, Kundai Maguranyanga, Aobakwe Malau and Viktor Peka took raced to a fifth-place finish in 41.89 while battling cold, windy conditions.Those four points put the men’s team in 13th place in the Hy-Vee Cup standings. The women’s sprint medley squad of Keaton Kester, Mariah Crawford, Victoria Coombe and Meghan Kearney clocked a 4:07.08 finish to take ninth.Individually, Xavier Lechleitner took ninth in the 800 meters with a 1:53.08 finish for the Bulldogs.
